In March of 2022, I went on a mission trip to Costa Rica with Beauty for Ashes. We spent a week there in San Jose working with women from the all parts of Costa Rica. It was my first international flight and it was amazing! I could post lots of pictures of just cloud formations because they fascinated me.

The houses were very close together. We were told that land in San Jose is a million dollars an acre. The homes seemed to all have bars on the windows. We stayed the first couple of nights in a missionary house before moving to the "country club".

The "country club" wasn't like a country club in the US. We slept on bunk beds.
We had running water and flush toilets (but you couldn't flush the paper).
We had showers (cold).
The flowers were beautiful!
The food was amazing. We ate lots of rice, beans, tomatoes, salad.

Each morning was a new group of women. We ministered from breakfast into the early afternoon.
Each day we decorated the outdoor pavilion where we met and fixed the women a nice breakfast.
We worked with over 70 women that week.
(And 2 men. Bus drivers wanted to stay.)
